We were asked by Peak to create a sales/presentation tool for their upcoming industry events at ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi and ICoTA Europe in Aberdeen. The solution had to showcase their products and include their 3D animations, as well as present a degree of product technical data. It was also important to have a facility to collect the details of visitors to the stand and feedback any information to their sales systems.
The stand would feature a large touchscreen and tablets for users to interact with, and it was vital that we capitalise on the interactivity and user experience that touchscreen technology can provide.
We considered the challenges – The global nature of the project meant that the solution would have to be deployable and easy to update remotely. It had to work on a large wall-mounted touchscreen as well as small tablets, so the content had to be configurable for multiple screen sizes. It had to accommodate various formats such as animations, pdfs, as well as be able to load data from a connected database.
We agreed on a platform to build the presentation tool on and designed all the interface elements to allow ease of use and flexibility for future updates.
The interface design was crucial, it had to be clearly navigable and encourage the user to explore the content. We achieved this with a limited design theme and the use of gestures such as pinch, swipe, taps etc. This enabled the viewer to open, scale, and move panels with content around to suit.
Our solution gave Peak a flexible, intuitive, scaleable and multi-platform tool that engaged visitors at the stands and was a useful tool for their sales team. The application MAX created allowed users easy access to Peak Well Systems’s animations, brochures, datasheets, and deployment data.
We achieved this with an html5 based touchscreen presentation that allowed users to interact with the animations, pdf’s, and text content in an intuitive but feature-packed design.
Users could view deployments of Peak’s products across the world via a simple map with the ability to filter results.
A contact form gave users the option to enter their details at any stage and indicate an interest in a product(s). The information was fed back to Peak in order to target sales and follow-up meetings effectively.
By using linked files, it can be easily updated, and deployed by the client to reduce future costs.
